Our team has a track record of providing top-tier capital and operating cost estimation, as well as quantity surveying services, across a variety of government portfolios. This includes considerable collaboration with the Department of Transport, Main Roads Western Australia, and the Public Transport Authority of Western Australia. Furthermore, we have successfully managed projects for the Federal Government and important national initiatives such as Cross River Rail (Queensland), Melbourne Metro, and the North-South Corridor (South Australia).
TAG Advisory's experience extends across the project lifecycle, from planning to delivery. We understand the crucial need of delivering accurate and unbiased cost advice to support strong project budgets and successful outcomes. Our experience includes creating Business Cases and Project Definition Plans, as well as taking part in external project evaluations with organisations such as the Department of Finance Gateway Review, Infrastructure Australia, and the Office of Digital Government.

WHO IS TAG
ADVISORY?
Alistair is an experienced Quantity Surveyor who is a Director of TAG Advisory, a boutique project advisory firm that commenced trading in January 2023.
Prior to establishing TAG Advisory, Alistair was a Director and equity Partner of RLB, an international quantity surveying practice, located in Perth, WA.
Alistair joined RLB in 2011 and was responsible for the delivery of all Infrastructure sector projects. During this period, Alistair developed close and effective working relationships with a number of clients, contractors, consultants and project stakeholders alike.
Alistair adopts a "hands on" approach to every project and has a reputation of fostering relationships for the betterment and successful delivery of projects and is more than capable of questioning design intent and construction methodologies in order to ensure both practical and economical solutions.
Alistair has considerable experience in successfully delivering a broad range of projects at local, state and federal government level.

Following the establishment of TAG Advisory, Andrew commenced his current role in early 2023 having worked with Alistair Aitken for 13 years’ prior.
As a Civil Engineer and Project Manager, Andrew has considerable experience in all aspects of civil engineering and has performed a number of roles including but not limited to Design, Engineering, Project Management and Site Supervisor with 30 years’ local, national and international experience.
Having commenced his career in the early ‘90’s with Main Roads, Andrew then specialised in pavement and soil stabilisation before embarking on a career as a Designer, working on a number of eastern state aviation, rail and road projects.
Andrew has worked for Clients and Contractors alike and is acutely aware of the pressures and timeframes involved in the delivery and handover of projects, especially those nearing completion. Andrew further understands the need of quality management systems and the importance of handover documentation and process leading to final asset acceptance. Given his considerable and diverse experience and range of skills, Andrew is an all-round technical specialist who is able to identify problems whilst providing practical solutions using highly analytical and problem solving skills.
To complement Andrew's technical skills, Andrew is a great communicator who is highly organised and is engaging with an outgoing personality who is adept as working under his own initiative or as part of a wider team.
Andrew is a member of Engineers Australia and a member of Professional Engineers, Scientists and Managers Australia.
