TAG Advisory have established a distinguished track record in capital and operating cost estimation and quantity surveying services across major government portfolios. Our extensive partnerships include the Department of Transport and Major Infrastructure, Main Roads Western Australia, the Public Transport Authority of Western Australia and Westport.
TAG Advisory's expertise spans the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning through to operational delivery. WHO IS TAG
ADVISORY?
Alistair is an accomplished Quantity Surveyor and the Director and Owner of TAG Advisory, a speacialised project advisory firm that began operations in January 2023.
TAG Advisory focuses on delivering commercial and cost consulting services exclusively for the Infrastructure sector.
Before founding TAG Advisory, Alistair served as a Director and equity shareholder in an international Quantity Surveying practice based in Perth, WA, after relocating from the UK in 2011.
Since his arrival in 2011, Alistair has fostered strong and productive working relationships with clients, consultants and contractors alike.
Alistair takes a "hands on" approach to every project, from inception to completion. Throughout this journey, Alistair excels at challenging design intent and construction methodologies to ensure both cost-effective and practical solutions for each project.
Alistair possesses extensive experience in successfully delivering a wide array of projects directly and indirectly for Federal, Local and State governments.
Alistair is skilled in planning and executing projects using a variety of procurement delivery models including but not limited to Alliancing, Construct Only, Design and Construct, Design Only, Early Contractor Involvement (ECI), New Engineering Contract (NEC) and Public Private Partnerships.
Alistair is a member of the Australian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (MAIQS) and is a Certified Quantity Surveyor (CQS) and an accredited Contingency Management Professional (CMP).

Following the establishment of TAG Advisory, Andrew commenced his current role in early 2023 having worked with Alistair Aitken for 13 years’ prior.
As a Civil Engineer and Project Manager, Andrew has considerable experience in all aspects of civil engineering and has performed a number of roles including but not limited to Design, Engineering, Project Management and Site Supervisor with 30 years’ local, national and international experience.
Having commenced his career in the early ‘90’s with Main Roads, Andrew then specialised in pavement and soil stabilisation before embarking on a career as a Designer, working on a number of eastern state aviation, rail and road projects.
Andrew has worked for Clients and Contractors alike and is acutely aware of the pressures and timeframes involved in the delivery and handover of projects, especially those nearing completion. Andrew further understands the need of quality management systems and the importance of handover documentation and process leading to final asset acceptance. Given his considerable and diverse experience and range of skills, Andrew is an all-round technical specialist who is able to identify problems whilst providing practical solutions using highly analytical and problem solving skills.
To complement Andrew's technical skills, Andrew is a great communicator who is highly organised and is engaging with an outgoing personality who is adept as working under his own initiative or as part of a wider team.
Andrew is a member of Engineers Australia and a member of Professional Engineers, Scientists and Managers Australia.
